Driver’s View:

Another long-standing favourite class. In the 1990s, Scalextric wheels didn’t stay on with much more than willpower so this is usually the main issue to fix. Smooth axles can be roughened with a pair of pliers (the celebrated ‘axle manker’), allowing scratches for the superglue to bond. After that they run and run, with very entertaining handling. The better looking the car, the better it will go – that’s a decent rule of thumb.
